Land of 1,000 Sinks

West-central KY is known as the “Land of 1,000 sinks” due to all the sinkholes and caves. One notable three-story deep sinkhole swallowed up part of the Corvette Museum in 2014! The hole has been fixed, but you can still safely peer into the cave through a floor hatch and admire the restored Corvettes which are back above ground.
